Member's volunteer at the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary every fall, gaining hands on skills of game bird and waterfowl management and care. We help out with maintaining some of their upland game bird habitats, as well as help with the health checks of several of their birds (often the waterfowl - including the permanent resident swans and geese).
Necessary skills in trapping is needed in order to conduct wildlife management and research. We often will put on small mammal trapping workshops, as well as larger animal trapping. Once our members are certified, they have plenty of opportunities to gain practice through various research projects conducted by the Club.
